Pattemore records pre-dating those found in Merriott

Or:  some hints as to where the Pattemores might have lived before arriving in Merriott.

Information has come to light about the existence of Pattemores (spelt Padimore/Paddimore/Padamore) living at Haselbury Plucknett earlier than 1689, when the family first were mentioned in the Merriott Parish Registers.  These are taken from the Parish Registers for Haselbury, transcribed by Diane Ellisor (thankyou Diane!)   I would like to speculate that the Aaron Padimore buried in 1679 was either a father or grandfather to the Aaron Pattemore who first appeared in Merriott registers in 1689.

Diane notes that the surname makes no further appearances in the Parish Registers for Haselbury Plucknett after 1730.  Presumably the family in Haselbury died out; however the new family tree established in Merriott from 1689 certainly flourished!
